Garland Lamar "Larry" Newton, age 68, of Pensacola, FL, pa ssed away Tuesday, July 13, 2010. He was born December 1, 1941 in Greenville, Alabama to Flora Dale Finkley Newton and the late Grady Garland Newton. Larry was a United States Navy veteran, loving husband and father who wanted the best for his children and grandchildren so they could have a better life. He suffered long enough, now he feels no pain and has gone on to be with God. Survivors include his loving wife, Mary Newton; a son, Randy Newton, and a daughter, Debra Kemp, all of Pensacola, FL; his mother, Flora Thompson; brothers, Joe Newton and Arnold Newton; a sister, Ellen Chatwood; eight grandchildren and ten greatgrandchildren. A "Celebration of Life" was Thursday, July 15, 2010 at 3 PM at their home. National Cremation & Burial Society of Mil ton has been entrusted with the arrangements.
